Nestled in the Southwest corner of the Franch Church River of No Return Wilderness Area, Sulphur Creek Ranch represents the best of what Idaho has to offer. Over the years, the relatively easy accessibility to Sulphur Creek Ranch has turned it into a popular backcountry destination for pilots and hikers. The ranch is located 28nm East of Cascade, Idaho or can be reached by a seven mile pack-in from Boundary Creek trailhead off of Highway 21.

We have ten guest cabins and a lodge to accomodate visitors throughout the spring and summer. While here you can fish in our trout pond, hike any of the nearby trails, take a horseback ride, experience a professionally guided fishing or hunting trip, or simply relax in Americas largest wilderness area. Whether you arrive for a weekend breakfast or a week long guided hunt, we are confident you will never forget the serene yet stunning beauty of Sulphur Creek Ranch.

Elk Hunts

Sulphur Creek Outfitters offer top quality Idaho wilderness trophy elk hunting with very good success rates and opportunities for mature bull elk. Most bull elk harvested are 5x5 and 6x6 bulls and success on guided elk hunts runs 75% average year to year, opportunity is 95%, drop camp hunts run 25% success on bull elk. Depending on where and how you choose to hunt, your Idaho elk hunting experience could vary from a lodge elk hunt to a complete pack-in elkhunt up to fifteen miles from the trailhead. Fly into Sulphur Creek Ranch. We're located in the SW corner of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness area, Sulphur Creek Ranch is primarily reached by air. Located just 28nm east of Cascade, ID, our 3,100' gravel airstrip provides relatively easy access into the backcountry. The recommended approach is runway 26, and departure from runway 8. Black Bear Hunts

Idaho is one of the only states where you can hunt during the spring using bait and/or hounds. Our spring season runs May through June, and our fall season runs September through October. The two styles of bear hunting Sulphur Creek Outfitters uses are: bait and spot-and-stalk. We are very good at both methods and you can change styles during your hunt. Occassionally we use hounds, but since the re-introduction of wolves this method is a little bit dangerous for the dogs. Depending on where and how you choose to hunt, your Idaho Shiras moose hunting experience could vary from a lodge moose hunt to a complete pack-in hunt up to fifteen miles from the trailhead. We often take mature, heavy-horned bucks in the 26 to 30 inch range. Deer tags are over-the-counter. Depending on where and how you choose to hunt, your hunting experience could vary from a lodge hunt to a complete pack-in hunt up to fifteen miles from the trailhead.
