Its 2010 and we’re hunting for those elusive wolves! Had some success in 09. Season still goes till end of March so if your wanting to get out and challange yourself to max hunting for the keen eyes. Give us a call! Heres a couple we took Dec 09! Plus if your wanting a bear, were harvesting some big color phase and the camera taking some shots of some lunkers too!

2009 Fishing Season

The Middle Fork of the Salmon River and Sulphur Creek and of course our popular Pond provided some great fishing to all those who put on the waders and had a little adventure hiding inside them. But for those wanting to catch those big native cuthrouts we hauled them up on the horses to some of the many lakes we have access to. Turned out to be a great season, with people catching those big elusive cuthrouts time and time again. Make sure to check out some of the pictures in the gallery! Such as Dean Cooper holding this big lunker above!

2009 SCI Donation Hunt

Our SCI hunt donation this year turned out to be a great adventure, Although the deer were in hiding our guys got to see some good elk rutting activity and got right into it. Shawn Wilson, in picture with his 5×5 bull he harvested. And Mark who came on the hunt with Shawn got into some action too as he took a shot at a mature 6×6 but for reasons known only to the elk didn’t connect. Shawn and Mark say thanks to the Sulphur Creek crew for a great hunt.

Ray Christensen’s Big Color Phase Bear

Our first spring 2009 bear hunter has had some good success on bears so far this season.

Ray Christenson with his 12 year old daughter as a sidekick, harvested this bear on the first day of their hunt. Glassing and still hunting in the morning to no avail he decided to sit on one of our baits at about 4:00 pm his bear arrived but only 12 minutes later. The bears back while on all 4’s was about 4-6 inches higher than the bait barrel. He measures 6′4″ nose to tail and weighs approx 375 400 pds.

2008 Donated RMEF Elk Hunt

This nice 300 class bull elk was tagged last week by one of our hunters. The hunt this year was extremely tough and we had to pull out all the stops to plan a spot and stalk. I was able to get into the area about 1.5-2 hours ahead of our hunters to test the wind and find the herd. As luck turned our way the elk began moving toward the creek below us and a few small openings presented shot opportunities. Due to some last minute changes and set up issues the hunter wound up using me for a rifle rest and I was not able to get the shot on video. Iam very bummed as it was a perfect set up for video.

2008 Hunting Season

Here are the results of our 2008 hunting season so far. We put every animal on this page, not just the trophy-sized animals. Many of our hunters savor the whole wilderness experience and a trophy sized animal is just a bonus. Enjoy the photos and remember, we welcome comments so tell us what you think.

2008 Fishing Season

The 2008 fishing season was good as usual. Out of the lodge we were catching the usual 10-20 inch trout at a consistent basis, but boy did we ever have fun packing into to the lakes and catching native cutthroat trout up to 28 inches!

2007 Donated RMEF Elk Hunt

We donate a number of hunts to different organizations every year. For the 2007 season, our RMEF hunter was Dan Wolfe from Indiana. It was his first elk hunt and he didn’t know quite what to expect. With Brent Martell as his guide, he shouldn’t have worried though because he ended up with a great six point, 300-class bull. Because this hunt was out of the lodge, Dan’s wife also came along and they are looking forward to their next trip out to Idaho.
